These days, in the face of the new government’s wave of legal and policy reforms, university administrations mobilize together in the name of protecting what they call a democratic regime. We can only wish they would have felt the same urge when it came to stopping the occupation and the systemic oppression of Palestinian citizens of Israel. Perhaps the threat of boycott could do the trick and motivate them to adopt an explicit and strong stand against the oppression of the Palestinian people.
